Participants of the Amerithon Challenge, intending to be legally bound, acknowledge the risks inherent in this fitness event and the potential for property damage or loss, personal injury and death. The risks include, but are not limited to, those caused by my conditioning, dehydration, temperature, weather, visibility, vehicular traffic, and the actions of other people. Participants acknowledge, accept and assume all of those risks and waive or release any and all rights and claims for damages or injuries that they may have against the Event Director, Maven Publishing LLC DBA Run The Edge, and SignMeUp.com, and all of their agents and volunteers assisting with the event, sponsors, and their representatives and employees for any and all injuries to me or my personal property. This release includes all injuries and/or damages suffered before, during or after the event. Participants recognize, intend and understand that this release is binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, or assignees. As a material condition to my being permitted to enter this event, participants certify that they are physically fit and sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and have not been advised of any unfitness to participate in this event by a medical professional. Participants acknowledge that they can cease participation in the event at any time. Participants have their own insurance coverage in case of any injuries or death. Participants understand that they may be photographed at activities or events held at or related to this event and that they may voluntarily provide Run The Edge with photographs or video of myself or post such photographs or video to websites or social media hosted by Run The Edge or its sponsors. Participants agree to allow Run The Edge, event holders, producers, sponsors, organizers, and their assigns, without charge, to use photo, video, or film likeness for any purpose. This Waiver and Release is governed by, construed and interpreted under, and enforced exclusively in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado and the courts in the State of Colorado shall have exclusive jurisdiction with respect to any dispute related to the event or arising under this Waiver and Release. Participants acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to all of the terms and conditions of the above waiver and release.
